In his new book, High Performance Habits: How Extraordinary People Become That Way, Brendon Burchard shares effective habits to create lasting success.

Seek Clarity

Seek clarity on who you want to be, how you want to interact with others, what you want, and what will bring you the greatest meaning. This helps high performers keep engaged, growing, and feel fulfilled over the long haul.

Social Habits

High performers are clear on their intention for themselves, their social world, their skills, and their service to others.

  • SELF: Exhibit a future characteristic you desire. Live your best self now.

  • SOCIAL: Anticipate positive social interactions and consistently strive to create them.

  • SKILLS: Be clear about the skill sets you need to develop now to win in the future.  Set up your primary field of interest and then complete activities/routines to develop the skills in that area.

  • SERVICE: For high performers the question “How can I serve with excellence?”

How to Implement:

  1. Determine the Feeling You’re After

What is the primary feeling I want to bring to the situation and what is the primary feeling I want to get from the situation?  The immediate emotion doesn’t have to be the primary emotion. Think about the main feelings you want to cultivate in your life.

  1. Define What is Meaningful

Think about something you can do or create that will bring you more meaning.
